- Hello list, After recently using my choke for the 1st time this season, my 1310cc engine w/ stock 1098 carbs seems lean. Where's the best place to get needles or should I just file mine.....Any sugge

- There is a book by Des Hammill on this very topic. The SU Carburettor High-Performance Manual is available from Amazon for $19.77. I just got my copy, so I cannot say that it answers all my question

- Thanks that was the ticket.....Car runs much better no more part throttle miss and it pulls harder everywhere Best 10 minutes I've spent messin with this car! I swear it even runs a little cooler too

- If I were doing duals, I wouldn't file the needles. You'll never get them the same, IMHO. Also, the dashpot oil is a very important part of tuning SUs. _______________________________________________
