I just had an eye-opening experience with a 1980 Brit car. Yes it was, an MGB, not a Spridget but I'd guess the rubber fuel line is the same if yours is original. We were working on the end of the fu
<<Ask for injector fuel line.>> TOO expensive, Jack!!<VBG> FUEL line (also reinforced) is cheaper<G>!! _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/donate.html
I put all new fuel hose on the 58 last year when I restored it. This Spring, that car had serious fuel issues. Black crap in the carbs, and the filters were filthy. Now the car had under 1000 miles o
I have had this happen several times when I was not careful with the line I was using. Most line now is labeled as Fuel if meant to be used as such. I've had good luck with NAPA. ...bill in oregon ==
Gee. You might replace the belts, hoses and tires from 1980 while you're at it. I just had an eye-opening experience with a 1980 Brit car. Yes it was, an MGB, not a Spridget but I'd guess the rubber
Another $0.02 worth. My engine guru swears by VW Beetle fuel line. It's reinforced and fabric covered. Looks original. Metric, but fits great. Clay L. '67 Sprite TOO expensive, Jack!!<VBG> FUEL line
I hate to burst your engine guru's bubble, but that stuff is crap. I've been using the stuff on air-cooled VWs and Porsches (it's OE on both) for more years than I care to admit to, so I'm more than

While I couldn't agree more with you on 5 years MAX for fuel lines, belts & coolant hose, I find that the Petro-Flex stuff seems to hold up much better than the VW (actually produced by Continental)
Fuel hose is just too inexpensive to justify trying for maximum service life out of it. Bud Osbourne == That's the smartest thing I've heard in this whole discussion. LAD P.S. Bud, you owe me another
<<Like any fuel line, fan belt, or hose, 5 years MAX.>> 1st, WHAT are you guy 'arguing' about?? You mean you leave brake fluid in the system without doing anything for (let's say) 10 years?? Doubt it
Another beer? Don't I get credit for making the smartest statement of this whole discussion? Well, I'm easy to get beer from, but you'll have to show up at Watkins Glen, next week, to collect (you to
I wasn't aware we were arguing, actually. I was under the impression that we were just having a friendly discussion and trying to share our experiences in the interest of better-maintained Spridgets
