Hi All, The choke on my TR3A is extreamly diffficult to pull out far enough to set it at full. For me, setting the choke is necessary for starting after the car has sit for a couple of days or more.

Fran, hard pulling chokes are indeed common. Usually it's a combination of reasons, not just one thing. A good place to start is the cable itself. If it's one of the aftermarket cables with a solid

You know I think the repro cables may be longer at the knob end. This would be the metal portion behind the fascia. In my TR3B the metal part is long enough to get jammed against the heater. I notice

My long gone TR3 had that same problem! The choke cable housing and cable was hard up against the heater so that the flexible cable was hard pressed to fit! No pun intended! Jim Jim Bauder '68 TR250
