I've done the conversion on several vehicles now by just bleeding DOT 5 through until I get clean purple fluid at each slave. Seems to work fine for me. To really remove all traces of the old fluid,

I've not seen any, but that may be a cost issue more than what works best. Newer cars seem to use mostly distorted threads for locking, presumably because they are just as cheap as good threads. But
