Yes any good body man will tell you not to use silicone caulk just because of that fact. The best thing to use is body seam sealer. 3M makes it in a regular tube for a calking gun. It doesn't set up

All, I used a GE paintable silicone caulk. I primed and then applied the caulk. Waited until try, primed over the caulked areas and then tested. Stuck just fine. Applied final coat and all is ok. 196
