Yes, you can retrofit. If the transmission top cover is not tapped for it, you will have to remove it and tap it. Switches available from the usuals...same as the overdrive switches. David B. Hammond

Grateful thanks to all who have helped with my reversing light query. It seems odd that my car was fitted with a reversing light ex factory and yet there is no switch on the gearbox. Perhaps Randall
