Are you using a distributor with a vacuum retard hooked up, if so, this can make it run hot at idle, mine did. Try disconnecting and plugging the vacuum retard line and then set the timing to 10 BTD

Okay - dumb question here! I am using Hylomar Universal Blue (tube) on a gasket - Do I put the Hylomar on both sides of the gasket and on the metal on both sides? Or ??? Many thanks! Harve Harve Thor
