Not every time but once in awhile my ignition light stays on when the ignition is switched off (even after the key is withdrawn). Restarting the engine and again switching off makes the light go out.

Yup, cutout relay inside the control box most likely needs adjustment. There's a procedure in the book, but most likely just turning the tension adjustment (on the frame behind the cutout contacts)
