Now is a good time to inspect the frame for cracks in that area. They are not uncommon. Those studs are welded in and the steel used for the frame is much thinner than the studs and will tear after a

Sounds like me; I started out installing seat belt mounts that for some reason did not exist on my TR250. I had the rear wheels off to allow install of the backing plates & decided to check my axle
