Take them to places that sell batterys (Walmart, Farm & Fleet etc. ) and they take them. Also check your states EPA site and there may be drop off sites or days they come to your community to get haz

I have taken them to Autozone and Advanced Auto, they have been happy to get them. I think they get $5-10 for the lead. Wal-Mart will also take them, just put it in a cart and push it through the doo
