[I will eventually probably go with a full synthetic like Mobil 1, but I suppose at this point I may still need to be "wearing in" the cylinder liners, etc. Would a 20W50 racing oil be a good choice

I believe my dash (TS65107) may have been dipped in a liquid vinyl, just heard that...I mean the fit is perfect after 50 years, just a few scratches (and a few extra holes...), I'll try your method..
