Randall commented: If your float bowls or the fule pump were leaking gasoline into the sump it would thin the oil quickly. As the oil burned and gasoline took its place it might appear not to be burn

That was actually my first thought, but there was no sign it was happening. Nope. Also, if the oil was diluted by gasoline, getting it good and hot should cause the gasoline to boil off. That didn't
