One thing I found that reduced my TR4 heat flow tremendously was a mouse nest atop the heater core! - didn't you say the fan stopped with some ugly noises a year ago? You might try one of those pinch

which reminds me .. dealer quoted $1,000.00 to install a new $75 heater core in my leaking '88 TBird.. I found out the hard way why ... it was a bear! the TR4 heater would be a pain but not anywhere

Yet another reason to appreciate a TR3 ... disconnect the hoses, one wire, couple screws, a nut; twist to the left and it falls out in your hands. Then if you're like me, you decide it wasn't worth

As I mentioned before, replacing a heater core in ANY car is a bear. ==AM== I dunno...it was pretty easy in my old '91 Ford Explorer. Good thing, since I went through FOUR heater cores in 12 years! :
