- I had this happen at the Suni @ Big Sky but I did have a spare in the Boot, I always carry a spare. Changed out the cable in the parking lot of one of the local markets then drove back to the hotel

- We popped the hood and used a shoe string over the windshield to get home one night. I repaired a couple of old cables for spares using a flexable cable with wire lugs crimped and soldered on the end

- I think you guys need to add a few drops of oil to your cable once in a while. BUT, the best thing to do is replace it with a "rod". I made mine out of brass rod from the hardware store... easy! AND,
