Sure it is! Doug Jennings has remanufactured the rack link rods. He currently has no stock of links (I have one pair) but he or his machinist can make another run. I've converted a few modified racks

I am not sure but, it sounds like the Ackerman kit did use some of the dirt/moisture type joints.. YES, a completely different easily obtainable newer rack would solve my 1976 reservations to the kit
