OK, here's how the weekend went with my brakes. Saturday morning I went for another drive, checking the temperatures of the disks att he same points little brake use. At about a mile and a half, I'm

I measured some of the pads I have and the total thickness of pad and backer is around .60". I just measured a caliper with the pistons all the way in at 1.94" - 1.20 for the pads and .5" for the ro

My math skills failed me last night on this one; nothing like a tired mind. There should be around .24" to clear even those thick pads and anti- squeal shims. I would crack open the bleeder valve and

You might want to check the flexible brake line for the affected wheel. When the line gets old and cranky it can act as a one-way valve. Press the brake you force fluid into the hose, which expands

Hi Ron: There is some clearance between a fully retracted piston and the pad. I was able to push the pad away from the disk, and the against the the rubber boots. I could feel the piston retract. But

It sounds like the pads are either not totally free to move or there is some residual pressure in the brake system causing the heavy brake drag. The rubber boots should not be putting that much forc

I agree with Wayne. I have had several expierences with the rubber lines collapsing and holding the brakes on or causing them to drag. If the rubber lines have never been replaced I would highly advi
