The bolts are 1/2" UNF x 3 1/4"; UNF is compatible with SAE fine thread but there are small differences. An SAE tap run through these threads will cut metal. Ron Fraser they're British fine thread w

Good question! I re-read the various standards (at least as described by Wikipedia) and combined with the Alpine parts reference cited earlier I don't think that these are British thread after all. B
