Does anyone know if the Edelbrock #8842 will work on a normal 289. It says it's for a Hi-Po 289 but I wasn't sure if the timing chain covers were different between the two engines. Thanks, Bob ______

As far as I know there is no difference between the STD and Hi-Po 289 timing cover for the same model year. Timing cover casting # C4OE-6059A uses the Aluminum water pump Timing Cover casting # C5OE

It should work on the 302 but I have no experience with this water pump. Edelbrock support will have the answer or at least they should. Ron Fraser i assume the same will work on the 302? Bob As far
