The usual cause of stripping the bolt is what I've advised about before. three of the 4 crossmember bolts usually go in OK but the 4th is just off enough to not go or strip when it goes in at a sligh

Not sure you and he are talking about the same bolts. I think his subject was labeled "fulcrum pin bolts." I think he could be talking about the bolts that attach the fulcrum pin to the crossmember.
