- After a year in the garage with no movement, I finally got off my duff and resurrected the beast. The generator on my MK1a is whining. Is the fix a brush replacement, a rebuild, or should I just get

- Since you may also need the armature turned and brushes replaced, along with bearings. A good shop that stocks Lucas Generator parts, or a BAP GEON store may have the parts, and the rebuild ability.
