I certainly agree that Tim's air dam is effective when the car is in motion. However, on the way back from SUNI we crossed the Mojave Desert when the the temperature was relatively cool - only 102. T

These conditions would make the pressure region irrelevant. Thus at low speeds, with a pusher fan, an unlatched hood might just have benefits after all. Well..., for the car, maybe not the driver. S
