I think it would be a whole lot easier to R&R the engine (and tranny if you want) from the top - with the hood removed. Removing the radiator and shroud(s) would also help. And you don't need to jac

I've have R&R'ed my engine a few times, by myself. I have always taken it out from underneath. The front end does need to be lifted, but not too high as I roll the engine/trans in and out through the
