- the You folks have clearly never dealt with Bosch stuff contemporary with our cars of interest. Lucas was a LOT more reliable than was Bosch. And that Italian company -- Marelli? -- was even worse. M

- I echo the sentiment. Never had reliability problems with Lucas electrics in MGs, Nortons or Sunbeams. In the later Triumph cars with copper flashed terminals that rusted was a problem but not from L
