According to the FIA recognition forms (1964 # 176, 1965 #211,1966 #509) only the 260 was approved (1.524 mm rebore acceptable) and the MK2 was never mentioned. ______________________________________

Rootes only ever homologated the Tiger with the FIA to run with the 260. All the factory rally and even the LM Tigers were 260's. The only factory car in period i know of that competed with the 289
