I have determined with a fair amount of certainty that my water temp gauge (Mark II original gauge, not sure if exactly same as earlier Tigers?) is reading too high. It shows a constant 205-210 when

You should validate that your instrument stabilizer is working properly before chasing the gauge. The stabilizer (the little gray rectangular box that should be screwed to the dash support rail) also
