I purchased one of those air cleaners from Tiger Tom many years ago. Each has a number in the casting, mine is #81 I think. That's all I know about them. Maybe Tom can shed some light on this thread.

A late Mk1A shouldn't have the 'spec plate' at all. I'm pretty sure those didn't make it past the B947xxxx series, and the first bunch of B38200xxxx cars had only rivets there. The later cars had not

The car may be OK, but I dont think I've ever seen a car dealer on Ebay with a rating as low as 85%. With 192 total sales, that means 28 people felt something was wrong with their deal. Caveat Emptor
