i run an oil filter in the wheel arch with -8AN hose to a block adapter. i'm trying to find an easy place to mount an oil temperature sender and i'm wondering if i could just put a fuel pressure gaug

I jumped in late here, but don't use that if the sender is in the main stream of the oil it will be a nice big restriction in the small -8 oil lines. I don't know if you can get a fitting for the pan

that's what i was thinking too. well my other option is to run a -4AN T piece off my oil pressure line at the engine and screw the sensor into a 3/8 NPT union on that. there should be enough space fo

You want the oil to be flowing past the sender, otherwise you're going to get incorrect temperatures. My remote oil filter base has 1/2NPT fittings on each end of the inlet and outlet ports - the obv

that's a good point. i also have those plugged ports on the back of the adapter but i'll have to check carefully that it'll clear the headers. you think -8 lines are too skimpy? well you've just give
