The 289 HiPo is a combination of specific Ford engine parts with tighter inspection requirements. The heads had larger valves, sometimes smaller combustion chambers and screw in rocker arm studs but

My Tiger had a 6 bolt HiPo in it when I bought it. The only difference in the head casting was that they had 'pockets' cast in them to hold the valve springs and they were fitted with screw in studs.
