On the Range Rover....I believe that most states do not smog test vehicles built before 1976. So, that might be worth checking on in NY and might influence your decision on year to purchase. Mark In

Sounds like Vermont and New Hampshire....if there is no OBD port, then there can be no smog check. I've never had anyone look under the hood for original equipment. Mark In a message dated 6/25/2010
