I had an 11" clutch and flywheel out a Corvette. I had to buy the Corvette starter. The nose was different shaped. Also, the bell housing had an obvious bulge to it. I guess for the larger flywheel.

If all else fails,, You might try using a 55-59 TF bell housing and use the starter that mounts on the bell housing,, I assume the bell housing you have is probably that one any way since it fits a V
