I have a chance to pickup a 49 3/4 ton GMC 5 window. Has a rebuilt 6 and 4 speed. What are the frame differences? Is this ok to buy?? should i hold out for a 1/2 ton with a shortbed? Thanks Dennis ol

Is a 3/4 ton OK to buy? That depends on what you want to do with it. Most of the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton parts are interchangable. The only place where the sheet metal is different is the longer bed side
