- I would think a compression test would reveal the problem if a head gasket was bad, probably take a huge amount of water pressure to be able to hear a leak between the heads and block.. --wayne oletr

- Definitely do a cylinder compression test. But before that, pull all the plugs and drop a little oil in each of the holes, then crank the motor with the starter a few times with the plugs out. If the
