- I have a 50 chevy 1/2 ton with a 3spd manual. my problem is that it won't stay in 3rd gear. if you manage to get in 3rd it stays for a short time(few hundred feet). i am wondering if anyone knows or

- Consider Bob ADlers post that it is also likely has a worn input shaft gear the synchro engages. I too have replaced the synchros and bearings on a MG only to have it still jump out of gear. Grant 50
