Their is a tear in the pump bellows. That's why the hole was machined there "to indicate a problem". The really bad situation is when the fuel just goes into the crankcase. Joe Garcia 1950 Chevrolet

Thanks for the information. Is there any way for me to replace the bellows or is it time for a new fuel pump? oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
