- Hi gang: perhaps I am just obtuse but I find myself asking this same question over and over again. I know of at least 1 1957 Chevy Suburban with a V8 and accompanying V8 vin#, V8 riveted motor mounts

- My 1957 Truck Salesman's Data Book shows the 265 V8 as a factory option for the Suburban and 3100 series truck.... oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959

- The 55-57 Subs could be had with a 265 V8; the 58-59 Subs could be had with a 283 V8. . .just like the pickups. The 283 did come out in 57 for the sedans and vettes but wasn't used in the 1/2 ton tr
