- i also have been looking for something like this but unsure my 50 3100 was already converted to 12v when i bought it my 50 burb still has the 6v i did go with the 8v battery as well what a difference

- How about using a voltage booster like the one that Jim Carter offers (EL219) that puts out about 1 3/4 amps at 12V from a 6 or 8 volt battery. It works for a stereo radio but I don't know about a C
