- I heard the term "848" head used in reference to a 235 head . Is this a high performance version ? And how can I tell if I have one ? (I have 2 235's and access to a few more) Thanx for any info. Gor

- "848" refers to the last 3 digits of the casting number. It should be on the drivers side of the head. It's not really a "high performance" head but had slightly less chamber volume, giving about 1/2

- i have heard several refer to it as a good head for the 235's there will be a casting number on the drivers side i think it ends with 848 it is a factory production head Mike Layton Sumter SC 37 1ton
