The vacuum source should go to the timed vacuum port on the base of the carb, on my edelbrock the vacuum ports are on the front and the one on the left is the timed one, when facing the front of the

I always run ported vacuum. So, just find a vacuum source off one of the carburetor ports that only give you vacuum when you open up the throttle and your set. on oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM
