I've been following the replies on the relocation for the gas tank. Why not mount them where the '47 models had them? On the passenger side within the frame rails and in front of the rear axle. Randy

The '47 is pretty much the same as the Suburban location. This tank requires some light cross members with hangars off them. The only ones I've seen for sale are a little pricey at over $400 in stain
