Just did mine on the '47.5 and it wasn't too painfull. had the leaves sand blasted, looked good, a nice dull grey ( I thought they had already primmered them!), i then ground off the 90 degree edge

There are a couple of options on these clips. Cheapest is just take the springs to a spring shop and they can install new clips for you at about $5 each. Or you can get fancy polished stainless from

I'm against leaf liners. they put a strain on shock brackets. We see a lot of broken shock brackets even without liners. If there is a groove cut in bottom of leaf by shorter leaf below it replace s
