My 53 chevy did not come with the original engine trans or rear end, the rear was a 10 bolt posi 3.07:1. I purchased my al. lowering blocks and u-bolt set up at Speedway motors. Not sure of the size

Yes they will work, we did it alot in the '50's. Just be sure the kit has the right "U" bolts as the closed rear takes the square type opposed to the radius used with the open rears. Lee Many old tru

If the rear end housing is sitting on top of the leave spring pack then lowering block will move the axle upwards toward the bed giving it a lowered stance. however if the rear end housing is sitting

Thanks Wayne. I have the axle on top so the blocks will lower the truck. If the rear end housing is sitting on top of the leave spring pack then lowering block will move the axle upwards toward the b
