im pretty sure the radio is 12v. the speaker can be hooked up to just one channel, so youd have to pick either left or right channel. dont try hooking up both sides to one speaker, it wont work. also

Why don't you get two smaller speakers and place them in the dash slot? I really don't think that you would enjoy listening to one side of a stereo program cuz you are losing half of the sound. AC/D

The easiest solution for the speaker would be to find one with a dual winding in the coil. Hook one winding to the radio's left channel and the other to the right channel. There is one caveat though.
