Tom...I had a similar problem with my unamed (Ranger) PU. Turned out to be the radiator cap...system wasn't properly pressurized. There also is a computerized temp sensor which may be out of whack. G

I could have a few computer sensors acting up. I just noticed my service engine soon light isn't working. How difficult are those to change? I'll get my cap checked and go from there,,,thanks Tom 55

I wouldn't mess with sensors or idiot lights...you need the proper equipment to read your system/circuits...If the "check engine light" isn't coming on it's probably more than just the bulb. Time to

You are probably correct about the mechanic, I could use a mechanic on the electrical. My truck is over due for a radiator flush, so i may throw a thermostat in and see if that will correct the heat
