A friend of mine did that a few years ago. In his case he had to replace the transmission too. His diesel was based on the Oldsmobile 350. I don't know if the 6.2 is the same as what he had or not. I

In 1983, the only difference between GMC and Chevy that I am aware of is the grill and badging. A 350 Chevy and GMC engine should be exactly the same. Can't comment on how the new engine would bolt u

I'm in the middle of the same type of swap. You don't have to be concerned with the olds engines as the 6.2 diesel is based on a chevy block. The 350 chev will drop right in, the trany will bolt righ
