Hi Deve, I generally look for fresh plated or oxide (though these are not an authentic finish for 50s era trucks) fastners. But sometimes I have painted them. Usually don't prime. I stick the ends in

You can take them all to get cad plated for about 50 bucks. question nuts Then supposed clamp oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
