I did this on my 53 3100. It took about an afternoon to re-assemble and get the truck back on the road. If I were to do it again it would probably only take a couple of hours. It made a world of diff

When I did it I also had the front suspension parts powder coated, so I had it completely disassembled. It wouldn't really be necessary to disassemble the brake and backing plate from the spindle. I
