One more bit of info on your fuse problem. The fuse should go on the bat terminal, not the armature. Grant 50 3100 oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959

Talked with an old mechanic last night, the one that gave me my Delco fuse. These attach right to the regulator terminal and the other end is a terminal you attach the wire to. They come in 30 and 35
