- Yep that's the "Rag Joint"! You can just drill out the rivets that held the old rag joint on and install the new rag joint and put it back together again. The rag joint does what you indicated "reduc

- It is called the "rag joint". The body shop where I was having my work done tore mine up twice trying to move the truck around so when I got it back I bought a U-joint that has the correct spline on
