You've got a '55 second series right? My '55 first series has the box on the outside of the frame, but I think the second series is on the inside. I don't actually know that, but it seems right... on

The Task Force (TF) series trucks from 55 second series to 59 all had similar steering gears and all were mounted inside the frame rail. Just recently took mine apart on my '56 Chevy 1/2 ton and had
