I would heat the intake no matter the climate. You can compensate for a cold intake with richer jets, it may work OK but MPG will suffer. Personally I use a '54 Vette dual manifold for heat but I rea

I forgot to mention that the fentons have two tapped holes to use for heat risers into the intake. Because of the warm weather out here, I put pipe plugs in these. Instead of the foil tube heat riser
